Women's facial hair removal (Apogee Elite Plus)

What is this treatment?

An internationally used laser system that employs dual wavelengths (755nm Alexandrite, 1064nm Nd:YAG) for hair removal tailored to a wide range of skin types and hair conditions. Its highly absorbed wavelengths deliver energy effectively to the hair root, targeting melanin to help improve hair removal efficiency. A large spot size and rapid repetition rate shorten treatment time, while an outstanding cooling system protects the skin and minimizes discomfort. The result is a laser hair removal device from which consistent results can be expected across diverse skin tones and hair characteristics.

How does the procedure go?

STEP 01.

Through a consultation with your treatment provider, we assess your skin type, hair condition, desired treatment areas, and goals. Based on this, the appropriate wavelength, energy settings, and number of passes are determined.

STEP 02.

The treatment area is thoroughly cleansed of cosmetics, oils, and lotions, and the skin surface is prepped. If needed, longer hairs in the treatment area are shaved.

STEP 03.

A cooling system or cooling gel is applied to minimize skin damage. At the provider's discretion, protective goggles or patches are used to shield the eyes and surrounding tissue from the laser light.

STEP 04.

Using the Elite Plus system, the laser beam is delivered to the skin at the selected wavelength (Alexandrite or Nd:YAG) and energy level. The melanin-rich hair root absorbs the laser energy, damaging the follicle cells that produce hair.

STEP 05.

Between passes, the cooling system cools the skin to minimize pain and heat damage. Energy levels and the number of passes are adjusted according to the size of the treatment area and hair density.

STEP 06.

After treatment, cooling packs and soothing creams are used to calm the skin. If needed, a regenerating cream can be applied to ease irritation.

Results and how long they last

01.

By delivering hair removal energy precisely tuned to each skin type and hair condition, Elite Plus can be expected to gradually reduce unwanted hair. It targets melanin accumulated in the follicle to suppress hair growth; typically, with repeated sessions, hair becomes thinner and sparser, regrowth slows, and the hair that does grow back is finer. As a result, after a certain number of sessions, a noticeable hair removal effect appears and smoother skin can be maintained.

02.

Hair follows a growth cycle (anagen, catagen, telogen), and laser hair removal works mainly on hairs in the anagen (growth) phase. Because not all hairs enter the growth phase at the same time, sessions are repeated at roughly 4-week intervals. Although it varies by individual, a noticeable reduction in hair density and thickness can typically be expected after about 6–10 sessions. Afterwards, 1–2 maintenance sessions per year help sustain results, and the interval and number of sessions may be adjusted to each person's hair growth pattern.

Q&A

Q.

How often should Elite Plus hair removal be done?

In line with the hair growth cycle, sessions are usually spaced about four weeks apart, and a noticeable hair removal effect can generally be expected after four to six sessions.

Q.

How much does the procedure hurt?

A high-performance cooling system and appropriate energy adjustment keep the pain to a minimum, and in most cases it feels like no more than a mild stinging sensation. If you are sensitive to pain, a numbing cream can also be applied beforehand.

Q.

Is there any downtime?

Elite+ laser hair removal does not cause major damage to the skin surface, so you can return to daily life immediately after the procedure. The treated area may become slightly red, but it usually improves within a few hours, and no separate long recovery period is needed.

Q.

How should I care for my skin after the procedure?

Right after the treatment it is best to avoid strong UV exposure and to use plenty of moisturizer along with sunscreen. The skin can be sensitive, so refrain from irritating scrubs or exfoliation for a while, and follow the aftercare instructions given by the practitioner.

Q.

Will hair stop growing completely after hair removal?

Results differ from person to person, but as treatments are repeated, hair density and thickness decrease and regrowth slows, so the hair becomes very fine and grows only sparsely. It is difficult to guarantee a state in which no hair grows at all, but in most cases a noticeable hair removal effect lets you keep a smooth skin texture for a long time.

What should I keep in mind?

warning

Please read the precautions carefully and follow them closely.

-

Avoid root-removal methods such as waxing and tweezing, as well as tanning and strong sun exposure, for 4–6 weeks before the treatment, and trim hair before your session by shaving only.

-

On the day of treatment, avoid rubbing the treated area hard, exfoliating, or showering with hot water, and keep the skin well moisturized.

-

Skin becomes more sensitive after treatment, so apply sunscreen thoroughly when going outside and avoid prolonged direct sun exposure.

-

If redness, swelling, or pain persists or worsens, please visit the clinic promptly to consult with our medical team.
