Q&A
Q.
Is the procedure safe?
PDO threads are made of a material harmless to the body, originally used as suture thread in heart surgery. You can receive the procedure safely with PDO threads.
Q.
There are many types of threads and I am not sure which to choose.
Thread lifting comes in many types depending on the thread's shape, whether it has barbs, and the barb design. The recommended thread differs by area, so we recommend a consultation to consider your options and choose the procedure suited to your concern.

What should I keep in mind?
Please read the precautions carefully and follow them closely.
-
You may wash your face and apply makeup 2–3 hours after the treatment. We recommend keeping the DuoDERM dressing on the treated area until it has healed.
-
Please take the prescribed medication consistently for 3 days to prevent inflammation and relieve pain. If you have a history of antibiotic allergies or similar conditions, please be sure to let us know.
-
To help swelling and bruising subside quickly, we recommend gently applying a cold compress to the treated area for 3 days.
-
To reduce swelling, please sleep on your back for 3 days.
-
For 7 days after the treatment, please avoid heavy drinking, smoking, saunas and steam rooms, hot baths, and strenuous exercise to prevent inflammation.
-
Bruising, swelling, pain, or a foreign-body sensation may occur, but these usually resolve within 1–2 weeks. However, if pain worsens even after taking the prescribed medication, or if you experience changes in skin color, itching, or persistent warmth, please contact the clinic and come in for a visit.
-
To prevent the threads from shifting or breaking, avoid opening your mouth wide for 4 weeks (refrain from big yawns or laughing widely). If you had a double-chin treatment, also take care not to turn your head sharply.
-
Occasionally, depending on your skin condition, a thread may protrude through the skin at the treatment site. If this happens, please do not touch it with your hands — visit the clinic for appropriate care. If you experience any other discomfort, please contact the clinic.
