Glow injection results: when do you start to feel them, and how long do they last?

Glow injection results: when do you start to feel them, and how long do they last?

Glow injection results are usually felt starting a few days after the injection marks and embossing subside rather than right after treatment, and many people see their skin become more hydrated and smooth within 1 to 2 weeks. Rather than stopping after one session, continuing sessions at 2 to 3 week intervals makes it easier to see the changes build up.

How do glow injection results come about?

Glow injection is the term for a treatment in which hyaluronic acid is distributed evenly into the superficial dermis. Hyaluronic acid can attract far more water than its own weight, so by holding moisture within the skin it may help address inner dryness and fine texture.

The injected hyaluronic acid is gradually absorbed by the body over time. So glow injections are closer to care that replenishes moisture at regular intervals than a treatment that creates a big change all at once.

Glow injection results: when do they start to show?

On the day of treatment, the injection sites are raised and bumpy with slight swelling and bruising, making it hard to judge the results. Typically, you start to notice changes such as makeup not lifting and less tightness a few days later when the embossing subsides, and you see the skin texture and glow within 1 to 2 weeks.

The timing and degree depend on how dry the skin is, the amount and depth injected, and your living environment. Because the change may feel short-lived after just one session, it is common to continue about 3 sessions at 2 to 3 week intervals and observe the changes.

At our Suwon clinic, glow injections are done in 3cc units within our bespoke skin booster packages, and Rejuran HB+, which combines PN with hyaluronic acid, is based on at least 3 sessions at 2 to 3 week intervals.

Care and precautions to maintain glow injection results

For 3 to 7 days after treatment, avoid heavy drinking, smoking, saunas and jjimjilbang, and strenuous exercise, and do not rub the treated area hard. Apply moisturizer and sunscreen consistently, and if the indoor air is dry, using a humidifier as well may help.

Bruising and swelling mostly subside within a few days. If the injection sites become red and swollen with increasing warmth and pain, or pus forms, please contact the clinic. If you have inflammatory acne or herpes simplex in the treatment area, or are pregnant, please let us know before treatment.

FAQ

Q. Are glow injection results visible the very next day?

A. The next day, injection marks, embossing, and slight swelling remain, so it is too early to judge the results. It is typical to start feeling more hydrated a few days later when the embossing subsides, and to see the skin texture and glow within 1 to 2 weeks.

Q. How long do glow injection results last?

A. Because the injected hyaluronic acid is gradually absorbed, the change may feel short-lived after just one session. Continuing sessions at 2 to 3 week intervals makes it easier to see the changes build up, and how long they last depends on skin condition and lifestyle habits.

Q. What should I do if I feel glow injections had no effect?

A. First, we check whether you judged after the embossing subsided and how many sessions you received. If skin texture or elasticity is your main concern, skin boosters of the regenerative or collagen type can be considered in addition to the hydrating type, so we decide again in consultation.
