Tuneface results: when do you feel them, and how many sessions are needed?

Tuneface results: when do you feel them, and how many sessions are needed?

Tuneface results come from radiofrequency heat warming the dermis and the tissue beneath it to stimulate new collagen production, and you notice them as changes in skin texture, firmness, and jawline contour. Right after treatment your skin may feel slightly tighter, but collagen changes build up over several weeks, so results are checked over multiple sessions. The degree of change depends on skin thickness, sagging, and age.

How do Tuneface results come about?

Tuneface is a radiofrequency device from Alma, an Israeli company, that delivers 40.68MHz radiofrequency energy to the skin. Radiofrequency rapidly moves water molecules in the skin to generate heat, and this heat stimulates the collagen in the dermis to help new collagen form.

Because the treatment is done by moving the handpiece over the skin without needles, there is little surface damage, and handpieces of different sizes are switched to treat the full face, jawline, and eye area separately.

When Tuneface results appear and how many sessions are needed

  • Right after treatment, the heated tissue contracts and your skin may feel slightly tighter and smoother.
  • Over the several weeks during which new collagen forms, changes in skin texture and firmness gradually build up.
  • After completing several sessions, we check changes in jawline contour and the area around sagging pores together.

At FACE FILTER Clinic Suwon, the standard is three or more Tuneface sessions at 2 to 3 week intervals, and we explain that results last about 6 months to 1 year, which varies from person to person.

Care and precautions after Tuneface

You can wash your face and apply makeup right after treatment, using a gentle cleanser. For about a week, avoid saunas, alcohol, peeling treatments, and scrub products. If you also receive Tuneliner, redness may appear right afterward and settles within one to two weeks.

If you have an implanted electronic device such as a pacemaker or a metal implant, or if you are pregnant, please let us know before treatment. If blisters form on the treated area or a burning sensation continues for several days, please contact the clinic.

FAQ

Q. Does Tuneface hurt?

A. Because it delivers heat over the skin without needles, it feels more like warmth or a burning sensation than a prick. You may feel more heat in areas close to the bone, such as the jawline, so if it becomes hard to bear, let us know during the treatment and we will adjust the intensity.

Q. What does the KJ number for Tuneface mean?

A. KJ is a unit that represents the total amount of energy delivered to the skin in a single treatment. A higher number means passing over the same area more times or covering a wider area, and the right amount is decided based on the size of the face and the degree of sagging.

Q. When should I get Tuneface again once the results fade?

A. How long the changes last after completing the sessions differs from person to person. Collagen decreases again with age, so we check your condition when you feel your firmness has declined, and decide the interval for maintenance treatments together with our medical staff.
