Types of Rejuran: how do Healer, HB+, and Scar differ?

Types of Rejuran are distinguished by what has been added to the same PN (polynucleotide) base and which area they are used for. Representative types include the basic formulation Rejuran Healer, Rejuran HB+ with added hyaluronic acid and lidocaine, Rejuran i for the eye area, and Rejuran S, which has a higher viscosity for use on scars. Looking first at whether your concern is firmness and regeneration, dryness, the eye area, or depressed scars narrows down the choices.
How are the types of Rejuran divided by ingredients?
Rejuran Healer is the basic formulation that places PN in the dermis to support an environment in which the skin recovers on its own. Rejuran HB+ mixes PN with hyaluronic acid at a 1:1 ratio and adds lidocaine, an anesthetic ingredient, so that it helps retain moisture along with regeneration and reduces stinging during injection.
Rejuran S is a formulation made to have a higher viscosity than Rejuran Healer and spread less. Since it needs to stay at the base of depressed scars for a long time, it is placed in divided amounts at the scar sites rather than spread widely. Rejuran i is a product designed for the thin skin around the eyes and is used when separately addressing fine lines under the eyes and thinned skin around the eyes.
How do intervals and recovery differ by type of Rejuran?
At our Suwon clinic, the standard schedule is 3 sessions at 3- to 4-week intervals for Rejuran Healer, at least 3 sessions at 2- to 3-week intervals for Rejuran HB+, and usually 3 to 4 sessions at 2- to 4-week intervals for Rejuran S. You can wash your face and wear makeup from 2 to 3 hours later with Rejuran Healer and from the next day with Rejuran HB+.
With any formulation, the raised bumps at the injection sites usually subside within 1 to 3 days, and bruising and swelling fade within 1 to 2 weeks. For 3 to 7 days after treatment, avoid heavy drinking, smoking, saunas, jjimjilbang, and strenuous exercise, and do not rub the treated area hard.
How do you choose among the types of Rejuran?
If firmness and skin texture are your concern, consider Rejuran Healer first, and if you also have inner dryness and are sensitive to injection pain, consider Rejuran HB+ first. If only the eye area is thin and wrinkled, Rejuran i is used, and if you have depressed areas such as acne scars, Rejuran S is added only to those areas. Results and recovery vary from person to person, so the formulation and amount are decided after an examination.
If you have an allergy to fish such as salmon, or are pregnant or breastfeeding, be sure to tell us before treatment. If swelling and bruising get worse day by day, or warmth and pain persist, don't wait; please contact the clinic.

FAQ
Q. Is Rejuran HB+ less painful than Rejuran Healer?
A. Rejuran HB+ contains lidocaine, an anesthetic ingredient, and is designed to reduce stinging during injection. Both formulations are given after numbing cream, and how much you feel varies by person depending on the area and skin thickness.
Q. Can I combine different types of Rejuran?
A. Sometimes the whole face is treated with Rejuran Healer or HB+ and the eye area with Rejuran i on the same day. If you also have scars, Rejuran S is placed only in those areas, and the formulation and amount for each area are decided after examining skin thickness.
Q. Does the timing for washing your face differ by type of Rejuran?
A. With Rejuran Healer, you can wash your face and wear makeup from 2 to 3 hours after treatment, and with Rejuran HB+, from the next day. If you received both formulations on the same day, follow the later timing and start washing your face and wearing makeup from the next day.
