Rejuran results in Suwon: why to look at sessions and intervals first when you feel it is not working

If you got Rejuran but cannot tell much difference and are hesitating about the next session, it is worth first checking how its effects appear. Rejuran is a skin booster that injects PN (polynucleotide) into the dermis to help create an environment where the skin can recover on its own.

Rejuran results do not fill in right away in proportion to the amount injected; they build up over several weeks through a regeneration process, so if the sessions, intervals, and dosage are not right, it is hard to feel a change. At our Suwon clinic, during consultation we first look at skin thickness, sensitivity, dryness, and the sessions and intervals of previous treatments, then decide on the formulation and schedule between Rejuran Healer and HB+.

In this article, we outline in order how Rejuran works, why you may feel there is no effect, the criteria for deciding sessions and intervals and the process, recovery and care, and side effects.

Rejuran results: key points

  • Rejuran is an injection that supports the regenerative environment of the dermis, so changes in skin texture and elasticity build up over several weeks.
  • The reasons you may not feel a change fall into insufficient sessions, overly long intervals, too small a dose, and a concern that lies in a different layer.
  • As a guideline, we recommend Rejuran Healer for 3 sessions at 3- to 4-week intervals, and Rejuran HB+ for at least 3 sessions at 2- to 3-week intervals.
  • Embossing at the injection points mostly subsides within 1 to 3 days.

How do Rejuran results come about?

PN that enters the dermis stimulates fibroblasts to create an environment where damaged tissue can recover, and as collagen synthesis increases in this process, the thickness and texture of the skin slowly change. That is why the moist feel right after injection and the actual regenerative changes appear at different times.

We first look at changes in hydration and skin texture, and check elasticity, fine lines, and pores as sessions continue. Rather than being completed in one go, the foundation is strengthened as sessions add up, so a single session may leave you at an early stage.

Lifestyle habits also affect how the changes develop. If you skip sun protection or continue smoking, drinking often, and getting too little sleep, the changes built up during regeneration can easily fade.

Why might you feel Rejuran is not working?

  • You had only one session. Regenerative changes build up over several sessions, so the difference after one may feel small.
  • The interval was too long. If you get the next session months later, the changes from the previous session cannot carry over.
  • You judged too early. Looking the week after the treatment, you only see the state after embossing and swelling have gone down, and regenerative changes appear after that.
  • The dose was small for the size of the face. Even with the same dose, spreading it over the whole face reduces the amount that goes into each spot.
  • The concern was in a different layer. A deeply sagging jawline, hollow cheeks, or brown melasma are not problems of the dermal foundation, so lifting, filler, or pigment treatment may also be needed.

The next plan depends on which of these applies. If it is a matter of sessions and intervals, we reschedule; if it is a problem in another layer, we consider other methods alongside Rejuran.

How is Rejuran performed?

How sessions, intervals, and dosage are decided

Sessions and intervals are decided based on how thin and sensitive the skin is, the concern being addressed, and your remaining schedule. If recovery comes first, as with skin that has become red and weakened after a laser, we set close intervals; if the aim is to strengthen the foundation for elasticity and pores, we allow enough sessions. Rejuran HB+ is a formulation that combines PN and hyaluronic acid (HA) at a 1:1 ratio with lidocaine, an anesthetic, added, so we consider it when dryness is also a concern.

Treatment steps at our Suwon clinic

  1. Personalized Consultation
  2. Numbing Cream
  3. Disinfection
  4. Treatment
  5. Finishing Care

Rejuran Healer is performed for about 15 to 30 minutes after numbing cream, and you can return to daily life right after. We usually recommend 3 sessions at 3- to 4-week intervals, followed by maintenance treatments depending on skin condition. Rejuran HB+ takes about 15 to 30 minutes in the order of personalized consultation, self cleansing, numbing cream, disinfection, treatment, and finishing, and we recommend at least 3 sessions at 2- to 3-week intervals.

Treatment options are Rejuran Healer 2cc, Rejuran HB+ 1cc and 2cc, and Rejuran i 1cc for the eye area, each divided into 1-session and 3-session packages, and there are also packages that include Dermashine.

Recovery and care after Rejuran

  • You can wash your face and wear makeup from 2 to 3 hours after Rejuran Healer, and from the next day after Rejuran HB+.
  • Injection marks and embossing from Rejuran Healer mostly subside within 1 to 3 days, and embossing from HB+ subsides within 2 to 3 hours, though it may last about 1 to 2 days depending on skin condition.
  • For 3 to 7 days after the treatment, avoid heavy drinking, smoking, saunas and jjimjilbang, hot baths, and strenuous exercise.
  • Do not rub or massage the treated area hard, and avoid intense massage or meridian massage for a month.
  • Moisturize and protect your skin from the sun thoroughly.

Planning the session schedule in advance lets you book appointments without the intervals stretching out. Around the third session, comparing with pre-treatment photos under the same lighting makes it easier to judge changes, and the interval for maintenance treatments afterward is decided again based on skin condition.

Rejuran side effects and precautions

Right after the treatment, embossing, injection marks, redness, and stinging occur, and depending on skin condition, bruising or swelling may appear, but most subside within 1 to 2 weeks. The degree of reaction and speed of recovery vary from person to person because skin thickness and sensitivity differ.

Rarely, inflammation or infection at the injection site, or a hypersensitivity reaction to the ingredients, can occur. Keep the treated area clean on the day of treatment, and if you are allergic to the ingredients or anesthetics or are being treated for a chronic condition, please tell us in advance during the consultation. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an autoimmune disease, or are allergic to salmon-derived ingredients or lidocaine, please let us know before the treatment.

If the heat and pain get worse day by day, pus forms, or a hard lump remains for more than a few days, please contact the clinic right away.

What should I check before Rejuran?

If these apply to you, start with an examination of your skin condition

  • I got Rejuran once or twice, and several months have passed.
  • My skin is thin and dry, so my makeup tends to lift.
  • A sagging jawline or hollow cheeks bother me more than skin texture.
  • After a laser treatment, my skin turns red easily and has become sensitive.

If two or more apply, before rescheduling Rejuran sessions, it is best to first check whether your concern lies in the dermal foundation or in another layer. Whether to proceed, the method, and the scope are decided together in consultation after the medical team examines you.

In short, the key to judging Rejuran results is to build up sessions at proper intervals, compare under the same conditions, and check concerns in other layers separately.

FAQ

Q. When can I start to feel the effects of Rejuran?

A. We first look at changes in hydration and skin texture, and check elasticity and fine lines as sessions continue. Since changes build up over several weeks, around the third session we suggest comparing side by side with pre-treatment photos under the same lighting.

Q. What is the difference between Rejuran Healer and HB+?

A. Rejuran Healer is a formulation centered on PN, and Rejuran HB+ is a formulation with hyaluronic acid and the anesthetic lidocaine added to PN. We choose during the examination based on how dry your skin is and how sensitive you are to pain.

Q. Can Rejuran change pores too?

A. In the process of supporting the dermal regenerative environment, you may see changes where sagging pores look less prominent. For pores enlarged by excess sebum or pitted by scars, we tend to plan other treatments suited to the cause alongside it, and the method is decided after an examination.

Q. Is the effect of Rejuran similar for men?

A. Men tend to have thicker skin and a larger facial area, so when the same dose is divided, the amount going into each spot is smaller. Setting the dose and number of sessions to match the area and skin thickness makes it easier to judge changes at each session, so we decide this together in consultation.

Q. What if I have completed all 3 Rejuran sessions but cannot tell any difference?

A. We recheck whether the concern lies in another layer, such as sagging, hollowing, or pigmentation. We compare with pre-treatment photos under the same lighting and, if needed, make a new plan that includes a method suited to the concern among lifting, filler, and pigment laser.

Q. How can I find out the cost of Rejuran?

A. The cost depends on the formulation, dosage, and number of sessions. We guide you after confirming in consultation which of Rejuran Healer and HB+ you will receive and how many times, and you can also check the items by treatment area on the treatment information page.
