Juvelook Results: When Do They Appear, and How Many Sessions Do I Need?

Juvelook results don't fill in on the day of injection; they appear over several weeks as PDLLA particles slowly break down in the skin and stimulate collagen production. Individual results vary, but people begin to notice changes in skin texture and fine lines around 2 to 3 weeks, and progress is monitored while continuing for 3 or more sessions at 4-week intervals.
How do Juvelook results come about?
Juvelook is an injection that combines PDLLA, which has been used as a material for dissolvable sutures, with hyaluronic acid, which is naturally present in the skin. The plump feeling right after injection is mostly due to water and hyaluronic acid, so it goes down within a few days, and changes then build up during the period when fibroblasts around the PDLLA are stimulated to produce new collagen. For this reason, results are not judged by appearance right after treatment, and photos are compared month by month.
Why Juvelook Results Differ by Area and Goal
Concerns in the upper dermis, such as pores, shallow scars, and fine lines, tend to be noticed first as changes in skin texture. For areas that need volume, such as hollow cheeks or nasolabial folds, Juvelook Volume, which has larger particles, is used in deeper layers, and the gradual filling is monitored over 4 to 6 weeks. If the skin is thin and dry, or if the rate of collagen production differs with age, the timing of noticeable change can differ even with the same number of sessions.
At our Suwon clinic, Juvelook is offered in 1-vial units, as a single session or a 3-session course.

For about a week after treatment, avoid saunas, jjimjilbang (Korean bathhouses), and strenuous exercise, and cut back on drinking and smoking. Bruising, swelling, small bumps at the injection sites, and redness may occur and subside over time. In rare cases, if a small lump can be felt or the area becomes red and swollen a few weeks later, please contact the clinic. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have keloid-prone skin, please let us know before treatment.
FAQ
Q. How long do Juvelook results last?
A. Newly produced collagen also decreases again over time, so how long results last depends on age, skin condition, and the number of sessions. After completing the initial sessions, the interval for maintenance treatment is set based on changes in the skin, and sun protection and moisturizing can help preserve the changes longer.
Q. Will I see a difference after just one Juvelook session?
A. Some people notice a change in skin texture after just one session, but because it is a treatment in which collagen builds up, changes tend to appear more evenly when sessions are continued. Depending on skin condition, 3 or more sessions at 4-week intervals is used as the baseline, and the number is adjusted after checking progress.
Q. What should I do if it seems like my skin has gone back to how it was after Juvelook?
A. There is a period after the plumpness from the injection goes down when it may feel as if your skin has gone back to how it was. Don't judge before 2 to 3 weeks have passed; compare with your pre-treatment photos under the same lighting, and decide on the next plan through an examination after completing the sessions.
