Drinking after InMode: how many days should you wait?

After InMode, it is best to avoid heavy drinking for about a week, and then drink only after confirming that swelling and redness have subsided. InMode heats the fat layer and dermis beneath the skin with radiofrequency, so the basic aftercare is to avoid adding heat to the body while the tissue recovers.
Why avoid alcohol after InMode?
Drinking alcohol dilates blood vessels and increases blood flow to the face, which can make swelling and redness last longer. InMode FX can cause small bruises as it sends brief high-voltage pulses into the fat layer, and if you drink as well, bruises may become darker or take longer to fade.
A light drink or two and heavy drinking put different burdens on the body, but on the day of treatment and the next day, warmth and swelling remain, so it is best not to drink if possible.
After InMode, when can I resume drinking, exercise, and saunas?
Avoid exercise that makes you sweat and raises body temperature, saunas and jjimjilbang, and hot baths for about 7 days after treatment. Movements that don't heat the face much, such as walking or light stretching, are generally fine from the next day.
When resuming vigorous exercise, first check that no warmth or swelling remains in your face, then increase the intensity gradually. After exercising, wash your face with lukewarm water and apply plenty of moisturizer.
Besides alcohol, what to follow for one week after InMode
At our Suwon clinic, we advise washing your face with lukewarm water for 3 days after InMode and avoiding heavy drinking, saunas, jjimjilbang, hot baths, and vigorous exercise for about 7 days after treatment.
You can wash your face and wear makeup right after treatment, but use a gentle cleanser, and since your skin may become dry, use moisturizer and sunscreen. Warmth, tingling, redness, and bruising usually fade within a few days, but if blisters form or pain and swelling get progressively worse, please contact the clinic.

FAQ
Q. What if I have plans to drink on the evening of my InMode treatment?
A. On the day of treatment, warmth and swelling remain beneath the skin, so it is best to avoid alcohol. If it's hard to reschedule your plans, it's better to book InMode after them and plan your schedule so there are no work dinners or heavy drinking for about a week after treatment.
Q. When can I go back to the gym after InMode?
A. It is best to take about 7 days off from strength training or cardio that makes you sweat a lot and raises body temperature. In the meantime, keep moving with light walking, and increase the intensity after confirming there is no facial swelling or warmth.
Q. I drank after InMode and the swelling increased. Is that okay?
A. When drinking increases blood flow to the face, swelling and redness can temporarily get worse. Usually it subsides within a day or two if you stop drinking and drink plenty of water, but if warmth and pain also worsen or the swelling keeps increasing, please contact the clinic.
