Dermashine Skin Boosters: How Are Juvelook and Ultracol 100 Delivered?

Dermashine Skin Boosters: How Are Juvelook and Ultracol 100 Delivered?

Dermashine is not a standalone treatment, but an injection device that holds the skin with suction while delivering products such as Juvelook or Ultracol 100 through multiple needles.

Therefore, the number of sessions and aftercare depend not on the device but on the product injected. Juvelook uses PDLLA and hyaluronic acid, while Ultracol 100 uses PDO microspheres, so their recommended intervals, treatment times, and post-treatment precautions differ.

How Dermashine Delivers Products

  • Holding with suction: Suction draws in and holds the skin so it does not shift during injection.
  • Dividing into multiple points: With each press, several fine needles enter together, so the product is divided into multiple points and placed densely across a wide area.
  • Repeating set values: Depth, volume, and speed are set on the device and injection continues at the same values, keeping conditions even within each area.

The depth and amount of injection are determined by considering both the product's ingredients and your skin thickness. When targeting only small areas, hand injection may be used instead.

Choosing the Product by Skin Concern

1. When pores and acne scars are the main concern

  • Recommended product: Juvelook 1vial
  • Recommended interval: every 4 weeks
  • Recommended number of sessions: at least 3
  • Characteristics: We also consider this for skin where lost elasticity makes pores look stretched, and for skin where wrinkles and volume both need attention. Results vary by individual, but changes typically begin to appear within 2–3 weeks on average.

2. When hollowness and volume loss are the main concern

  • Recommended product: UltraCol 100 1vial
  • Recommended interval: about 2–4 weeks apart
  • Recommended number of sessions: 3 or more
  • Characteristics: We also consider this when limp, sagging skin and a dark, dull skin tone are concerns as well.

3. When the injection areas are narrowly defined

  • Characteristics: When specific spots are chosen rather than a broad area such as the whole face, we also consider hand injection.

Procedure order

After the product is chosen during a personalized consultation, patients receiving UltraCol 100 first cleanse their own face. Numbing cream and disinfection follow, then Juvelook or UltraCol 100 is delivered with Dermashine before the treatment is finished. With either product, you can return to daily activities immediately after treatment.

Precautions on the Day of Treatment (The Most Important 24 Hours)

  • If UltraCol 100 was injected, you may wash your face and apply makeup from 3 hours after treatment.
  • Avoid frequently touching or massaging the injected areas.
  • Small raised marks and redness settle down over time.

What to Avoid for One Week

  • Juvelook: saunas and jjimjilbang, strenuous exercise, and excessive drinking and smoking that may trigger inflammation
  • UltraCol 100: smoking, drinking, saunas, and strenuous exercise

Aftercare

  • Reapply moisturizer frequently, and wear sunscreen whenever you go outdoors.
  • Schedule your next session according to each product's interval; we adjust each session based on your skin's response.
  • Please let us know before treatment if you have inflammation or wounds in the treatment area, are prone to keloids, or are taking blood-thinning medication. Please also tell us in advance about pregnancy, breastfeeding, or any allergy to injectable or anesthetic ingredients. If swelling or pain gradually worsens, contact us right away.

FAQ

Q. Is the Dermashine skin booster very painful?

A. For both Juvelook and UltraCol 100, numbing cream is applied and the device is used only once the anesthesia has fully taken effect. How it feels varies with the area, skin thickness, the product injected, and your skin condition that day.

Q. Can the same products be injected without the device?

A. Yes. Juvelook and UltraCol 100 are also available without the device as 1vial packages for 1 or 3 sessions, and when only small, select areas are targeted, hand injection may be used.
