Worried about ALLTITE pain? What to check before treatment
ALLTITE's procedure has no numbing cream step; the heat generated within the skin is cooled by the handpiece's cooling system as treatment proceeds.
Because it is a heat-based treatment, some degree of warmth or heat is felt. Its intensity depends on where the heat is generated, skin thickness, and distance from the bone. If you are concerned about pain, rather than comparing which device hurts less, it helps to first understand which areas of your face are sensitive and what to do when you feel discomfort.
Why warmth occurs during treatment
- Heat generated from within: The manufacturer explains that ALLTITE heats the dermis and SMAS layer using heat generated as ions move and water molecules rotate within an electric field. The heat source lies within the skin, not on its surface.
- Surface cooling: A semiconductor thermoelectric cooling device in the handpiece lowers the surface temperature while energy is delivered. This is why you feel both warmth within the skin and coolness from the handpiece.
- A handpiece that moves in a rubbing motion: The rubbing applicator introduced by the manufacturer glides over the skin in a rubbing motion, distributing the heat.
- Differences by area: Heat may feel more distinct in areas where the skin is thin or close to the bone.

Please let us know before treatment
- Areas that felt hot or stinging in a previous lifting treatment and the device used at that time
- Areas where your skin is thin or turns red easily
- Areas you want treated, such as the forehead, around the eyes, or the jawline
- Important plans scheduled within the next few days
- Medications you are currently taking, including blood thinners, and any implanted devices or implants
If you are concerned about the heat, one option is to narrow the area and start with fewer shots. Shot counts range from 100 shots to 1200 shots.
If you feel discomfort during treatment
If the heat feels too strong, please don't endure it—let us know right away. Our medical team will pause treatment on that area, recheck your skin, and then decide whether to continue. If you have a next session, please remember the areas that were uncomfortable this time and let us know.
Aftercare
On the day of treatment
- Gently wash the treated area with lukewarm water.
- Heated skin may feel dry, so apply plenty of moisturizer.
For one week
- For the first 2~3 days, avoid saunas, jjimjilbang (Korean bathhouses), strenuous exercise, and alcohol.
- Take a one-week break from irritating care such as scrubs, peels, and massages.
Right after treatment, a sense of heat or tightness may remain beneath the skin, and temporary redness and swelling usually subside within a few days. If redness worsens after several days or blisters form, please contact us right away. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, prone to keloids, or have inflammation or wounds in the treatment area, please let us know before treatment.

Q. If Ulthera or Thermage was painful for me, will ALLTITE be painful too?
A. Each device generates heat differently, so the sensation may differ, but it is hard to predict in advance how it will feel. If you tell us which areas and sensations were uncomfortable in previous treatments, we will take them into account when deciding the treatment areas and shot count.
