Results and how long they last

01.

Over 4–6 weeks after treatment, collagen formation is gradually stimulated, and improvement in fine lines, volume, and skin firmness can be expected.

02.

Because duration varies with the treatment area and the individual, we recommend at least 3 sessions at one-month intervals. If you are planning a repeat treatment, we recommend visiting the clinic and deciding after a thorough consultation with our medical team.

Q&A

Q.

What is the difference between Sculptra and Aesthefill?

Both stimulate your own collagen to induce production. Aesthefill has more uniform particles than Sculptra, so injection is far less painful and it dissolves quickly and evenly. We recommend it for those who want faster results with less discomfort.

Q.

How do Sculptra and Aesthefill differ from filler?

Sculptra/Aesthefill and filler both help improve volume but differ in composition and mechanism. Filler places hyaluronic acid into sunken areas or deep wrinkles that Botox cannot easily improve, improving wrinkles and volume immediately. Sculptra/Aesthefill stimulates your own collagen over three to six months, helping form more natural volume. Filler is hyaluronic acid and can be dissolved afterward with medication, but Sculptra/Aesthefill cannot, so we recommend a consultation to choose the treatment suited to your area and skin condition.

What should I keep in mind?

warning

Please read the precautions carefully and follow them closely.

-

You may wash your face and apply makeup from 2–3 hours after treatment. Please remove the DuoDERM applied to the treated area after 3 days.

-

For 3–7 days after the treatment, please avoid heavy drinking, smoking, saunas and steam rooms, hot baths, and strenuous exercise to prevent inflammation.

-

After the treatment, facial muscle movement or external pressure may alter the shape of the results. Please take care to avoid pressure or irritation on the treated area for 2–3 weeks (e.g., wearing hats, sleeping face-down or on your side, wearing glasses, ultrasound or radiofrequency treatments, facial meridian massage, dental work).

-

As an injectable treatment, bruising, swelling, pain, or a foreign-body sensation may occur depending on your skin condition, but these usually resolve within 1–2 weeks.

-

Temporary swelling occurs due to the nature of the treatment, but it also subsides within a few days, so there is no need to worry.

-

A lumpy feeling or small nodules may develop after treatment. To prevent this and encourage better results, gently massage the area for about 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for at least 5 days after treatment.

-

As with any injectable treatment, bruising, swelling, pain, or a foreign-body sensation may occur depending on your skin condition, but these usually resolve within 1–2 weeks. In rare cases, nerve damage, allergic reactions, or inflammation may occur. Injections near the eyes, such as in the glabella, carry a risk of vision loss or blindness if a vessel supplying the eye is blocked, and blockage of vessels in other areas may lead to skin necrosis.
